Images of Trust:
A year in the life of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust,
in Northumberland, U.K. 2000-2003.
The aim of this project was to create a photographic archive documenting healthcare services at the turn of the 21st Century. As a photographer, my role was to capture the dynamic nature of services and the activities of healthcare professionals during a period of significant change, as new NHS hospitals were being built in Northumberland. The resulting images have garnered national and international recognition and awards, culminating in the publication of a book titled 'Images of Trust' in 2004.
Botton Village:
in North Yorkshire, U.K. 1997-2000.
This project aimed to explore the lives of individuals living and working within a therapeutic community in North Yorkshire, U.K., where adults with special needs lived and worked alongside their co-workers, creating a unique and supportive environment.
On Retirement: Growing Old Gracefully
in Northumberland, U.K. 2005-2009.
This project documented and celebrated the lives of individuals in North-East England who have retired from their careers but remain actively engaged in their communities. Through photography, I sought to capture the resilience, creativity, and social engagement of individuals in later life, hoping to raise awareness of wellbeing and redefining the prevailing stereotypes associated with aging.

in Tokushima and Tokyo, Japan, 2013.
This ongoing project aims to create a comprehensive photographic archive documenting and celebrating the individuals in Tokushima and Tokyo, Japan, who are dedicated to preserving and transmitting their traditional cultural heritage to future generations. Through photography, I aim to capture the beauty and significance of these traditional practices and honour the dedication of the individuals who keep them alive.
